Contemporary Art Gallery Reinstallation

The museum recently completed the reinstallation of its contemporary galleries. On view are several recent acquisitions including a video by Javier Téllez, a riveting work by William Villalongo on velour paper, and an installation comprising 144 digital prints by Allan McCollum. Complementing these pieces are Sanford Biggers’ sly take on an African ceremonial tunic, a stunning painting by Gerhard Richter on loan from collector Harry Cebron, a series of prints by Shahzia Sikander, and color photographs by Candida Höfer, Gregory Crewdson, and Larry Sultan. The museum is actively adding to its collection of contemporary art, so look for new acquisitions in the coming months and years.
