Bering Sea Archaeological Sites

Old Bering Sea (OBS) art and related styles are centered on Bering Strait and adjacent areas of the Chukchi Peninsula in Russia, northwest Alaska, and St. Lawrence Island. Yet OBS peoples spread across or influenced communities as far east as Canada and Greenland, and south to the Bering Sea coast of Alaska and the Aleutian Islands. The entire region is home to a close-knit family of Yupik peoples who have interacted with each other for millennia.
