A program of sonatas, songs, and dances from late Renaissance and Baroque Italy will be performed on period instruments by Musica Alta and Friends. Introductory remarks will be made by Laura Giles, Heather and Paul Haaga Jr., Class of 1970, Curator of Prints and Drawings, and Wendy Heller, Professor of Music and Director of the Program in Italian Studies. Among the performers are Katherine Buzard ’14 (soprano), Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen ’15 (countertenor), graduate student Jonathan Goya (baroque violin), Wendy Heller (soprano), John Burkhalter (recorders), and Nicholas Lockey (harpsichord, musical directo)r.
