A bronze bell hanging between two wooden posts, Remembrance guards the alcove of the memorial garden where a circle of bronze stars commemorates the thirteen Princeton alumni who died in the attacks of September 11, 2001. Serene and silent, the bell has potential for both resonance and reverberation; the surrounding plant life exemplifies renewal.
