This year’s outdoor film series features three of our favorite musical films from across the decades. Bring a blanket or chair—we'll provide the popcorn!

Singin’ in the Rain (1952)

103 minutes, G; directed by Stanley Donen and Gene Kelly

This classic film is a spoof of the turmoil that afflicted the movie industry in the late 1920s, when movies went from silent to sound. When two silent movie stars' latest movie is made into a musical, a chorus girl is brought in to dub Lina Lamont's speaking and singing. Don Lockwood is on top of the world until Lina finds out. Rain date: Tuesday, July 12.

LATE THURSDAYS! This event is part of the Museum’s Late Thursdays programming, made possible in part by Heather and Paul G. Haaga Jr., Class of 1970. Additional support for this program has been provided by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Curtis W. McGraw Foundation.
