Paul Cézanne and You

Paul Cézanne and You

While he was studying to be an artist, Cézanne met his future wife, a model named Marie-Hortense Fiquet, and they had a son, Paul, in 1872. This is a portrait he painted of Paul when his son was about two years old. He had some trouble painting his son, who was a little too young to sit still.

Do you find it difficult when people ask you to sit still so that they can take a picture? Imagine how much harder it would be to sit still long enough for them to paint your picture.
