Paul Cézanne and You

Paul Cézanne and You

The painter Camille Pissarro was an early mentor to Paul Cézanne. He painted this still life when they were spending time painting together. Pissarro taught the younger artist to paint with lighter colors and to work outside, directly from the landscape. Even when he was very old, Cézanne said that he was a student of Pissarro.

Do you have a favorite teacher? Who is that person, and what makes him or her a great teacher?
