In conjunction with the exhibition The Eternal Feast: Banqueting in Chinese Art from the 10th to the 14th Century, Alfreda Murck, lecturer, Department of Art History and Archaeology, Columbia University, will give a lecture about food symbolism in mid-20th-century China. Introduced by the exhibition’s curator, Zoe Kwok, assistant curator of Asian art. Cosponsored by the Tang Center for East Asian Art and the East Asian Studies Program. A reception in the Museum will follow.
