Deceptively simple in appearance, Northwood II is in fact a complex, engineered system of weights and counterweights. Three pairs of parallel steel bars, identical in length, are held together by wire cables, creating a delicate push-pull tension. Although the work comprises a minimal number of components, each part is necessary for the whole to exist.
