Interpretation
Round, 3.95 cm. diam., pinkish gold, large Mao head floating slightly above center on plain vermillion ground; wreath of 9 sunflowers along bottom edge, with leaves & clustered form; 1 bloom of outer sunflower juts out beyond lower edge of badge.
Back: below the head-shaped indentation, there is a 3-line inscription in horizontally squeezed big-letter-characters: “毛主席万岁” / “中国人民解放军” / “高[?]军事当院”
