Artist Conversation: Lance Twitchell and Nicholas Galanin

Join the Tlingit/Unangax̂ multidisciplinary artist Nicholas Galanin and Lance (X’unei) A Twitchell, professor of Alaska Native Languages at the University of Alaska Southeast, for a conversation about the Princeton University Art Museum’s collections of nineteenth-century Northwest Coast Native art and contemporary Tlingit art. Professor of English and American Studies Sarah Rivett will moderate a discussion exploring land, language, and culture in Tlingit artistic traditions, past and present. Introduced by Bryan R. Just, Peter Jay Sharp, Class of 1952, Curator and Lecturer in the Art of the Ancient Americas. A reception will follow.
