Campus Art Project Manager (Requisition 2024-19524)
The Princeton University Art Museum welcomes applications for the position of Campus Art Project Manager. Reporting to the Senior Manager, of Museum Projects & Strategic Initiatives, and supporting the work and leadership of the Campus Art Steering Committee (co-chaired by the Art Museum Director and the University Architect), the position will project manage the care of existing campus art collections, the process of commissioning and otherwise acquiring new works of campus art, conduct an annual inventory and condition review of the works, and oversee their installation and de-installation in a variety of settings beyond the Museum.

Audience Engagement Specialist (Requisition 2024-19821)
The Audience Engagement Specialist (AES) will work with local community groups and organizations, as well as University partners to collaborate on the development of mutually beneficial programming on campus and in local community spaces.  The AES will support the Museum’s efforts to nurture strategic and sustainable partnerships with neighborhood and community development groups, city agencies, Princeton University programs, local nonprofit organizations, libraries, schools, and other civic institutions.  They will collaborate with these partners to develop, implement, and evaluate inclusive programs designed to generate dialogue and provide meaningful and transformational engagement with the visual arts.  The AES will spend time outside of the Museum/office and in the local communities—participating in events, building relationships, and listening.  The AES will manage a range of public programs. This position will require a flexible work schedule including most Thursday evenings and frequent weekends.

Annual Support Associate (Requisition 2024-19995)

Reporting to the Manager of Individual Giving, the Annual Support Associate is a development administrative professional. The Annual Support Associate will be responsible for all membership gift processing, including accurate and timely membership data entry and fulfillment; updating and maintaining membership records; generating the mailing of all membership renewal and appeal letters; providing excellent customer service via phone and email to current and prospective members; and assisting the manager with all membership communications, including acknowledgment letters.

The annual support associate will assist with and/or coordinate benefit fulfillment activities and events; field membership-related inquiries in writing, by phone, and in person; and, in collaboration with the Manager of Individual Giving and the Development Operations team, identify current and potential members with capacity for increased giving. 

This position will assist the Manager with the Museum’s annual appeal campaigns, including all related mailings and digital strategies, gift entry, and acknowledgments. 

This is a one year term position with benefits and the possibility of extension.

The Princeton University Art Museum welcomes applications for the next Peter Jay Sharp, Class of 1952, Curator and Lecturer in the Art of the Ancient Americas. The Curator will shape the display, interpretation, growth, and care of the Museum's Art of the Ancient Americas collections. As the Museum prepares to open a dramatically reconceived new building in the fall of 2025, the Curator will lead gallery installations, exhibitions, publications, research, and acquisitions, and provenance research for the Ancient Americas collections. The Curator will also teach regularly in the Department of Art and Archaeology and/or the Program in Latin American Studies. 

The successful candidate will have expertise in the art of the ancient Americas, an interest in Latin American art after 1600, and the enthusiasm to collaborate broadly across collection areas. Working within a team environment, the Curator will partner with conservators and educators, supervise research assistants, and mentor interns and students. They will prioritize the Museum's commitment to cultural property law, ethics, research, and transparency, working closely with the Curator of Provenance; will serve as a voice on campus in discussions about collecting histories; and will create partnerships with descendant communities and research institutions in Latin America. The Curator will embrace the possibilities of a public-facing museum and will communicate effectively with both scholarly and broad audiences. 

A PhD in art history, anthropology, or a related field is required for this position. Applicants must have at least four years' curatorial experience; a strong record of scholarly publications; and a growing network across collectors and museums in the US and Latin America. Familiarity with donor engagement and collections management and proven teaching abilities are essential. Appointment level (associate/full curator) and salary will be commensurate with experience.
