Faculty-Curated Exhibitions

The Art Museum provides opportunities for faculty to co-curate exhibitions in the galleries. Faculty curators work with the Mellon Curatorial Fellow and other members of the staff to develop exhibition proposals that draw on the faculty member's research interests while maintaining a broader level of appeal for our diverse audiences.

Faculty curators work with Museum staff to craft an exhibition proposal and checklist of objects, design the exhibition installation, and write didactic materials. Lead time for major exhibitions with loans from other institutions can be three to four years, while collections-based exhibitions may be organized in one to two years.
