Responding to photographer Edmund Clark’s documentation of the American naval base at Guantánamo Bay and Tim Hetherington’s photojournalistic coverage of the wars in Afghanistan and West Africa, this panel examines the moral responsibilities and contemporary challenges of representing suffering in conflict.
