This year’s selection of outdoor film screenings features three films notable for their intimate representations of familial relationships, inspired by the exhibition “Don’t we touch each other just to prove we’re still here?”: Photography and Touch, on view at Art on Hulfish through August 4. Arrive by 8 p.m. and bring a blanket or chair—we’ll provide the popcorn!  

Screenings begin at sunset. 

Lady Bird (2017)  

93 minutes, R; Directed by Greta Gerwig 

In this coming-of-age tale set in Sacramento in 2002, an eccentric teenager (Saoirse Ronan) attending a Catholic high school deals with the pangs of first love and clashes with her mother (Laurie Metcalf) over her plans for the future.
