Against the backdrop of the Museum’s special exhibition A Material Legacy and its focus on the art of the last decade, this 2008 film marks Turner Prize-winning artist Steve McQueen’s first foray into film and features an early, mesmerizing performance by Michael Fassbender. Caroline Harris, associate director of education, will introduce this tough and brave work, which follows the final weeks of IRA activist Bobby Sand's hunger strike while a prisoner at HM Prison Maze.
