Kaiser Wilhelm II, the last German emperor and king of Prussia (1888–1918), was a frequent target for caricature in Allied propaganda. Reflecting France’s optimistic stance at the war’s beginning, this whimsical poster transforms the powerful leader into a vulnerable snowman, bearing a broom and wearing his signature helmet, handlebar mustache, and Iron Cross.
