Didactics
The workshop is built on a rectangular slab with low slab walls on three sides. On one side is a figure wearing an elaborate hat operating a tilt hammer (gangdui 堈碓; also called a trip hammer, or tread-mill) to pound grain. On the opposite side is a grist mill with a seated barking dog in front of an open chute. The whole is covered with a dark green glaze, except the red pottery base.
