Inscribed: 蘭花本是山中草，還向山中種此花；塵世紛紛植盆盎，不如留與伴煙霞。 板橋 時乾隆十九年范縣署中雨窻餘墨 Translation: The orchid was originally a mountain plant, I went back to the mountains to plant this flower. Planted in a pot amidst the confused dust of this world, Is not as good as staying in the company of mist and clouds. Banqiao In the19th year of the Qianlong period. Painted without much thought at the Rain Window [building?] in the Fan county [in present-day Henan province; formerly in Shandong] offices.
