The Art Museum’s group programs are grounded in the core tenets of our audience-centered approach: close looking, active engagement, and inquiry-based discovery. Drawing from the more than 115,000 objects in the Museum’s collections, our group programs explore global art from antiquity to the present.
The main Museum building is closed for construction of our new Museum and anticipated to open in 2025. During this time, the Art Museum will offer an array of on-campus, local, and virtual programs for K–12 students, college students, adults, and seniors wishing to schedule group experiences.
On-campus experiences are available Monday through Sunday and must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance. Information about getting to campus and parking is available on the University’s Visit Us and the town’s Parking in Princeton web pages.
Local and virtual programs are designed to bring the Museum to groups of ten or more. Museum docents will travel to public spaces—e.g., community centers, local libraries, or schools—within a twenty-mile radius of Princeton University or organize a Zoom call with your group, wherever you are located. These programs must be scheduled at least one month in advance.
