Join us to explore photography in the context of World War II and the Holocaust, showing how snapshots and more carefully staged photographs can conceal important meanings. This program will feature images from the upcoming McCarter Theatre production of the Pulitzer Prize Finalist play Here There Are Blueberries, photos by the Surrealist photographer Claude Cahun, and pictures from the photography collection of the Princeton University Art Museum. Presented by Julie Felise Dubiner, Director of Artistic Initiatives at McCarter Theatre, and Christy Wampole, Professor of French and Director of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program in the Humanities. Cosponsored by the Princeton University Art Museum and Arts & Ideas at McCarter Theatre. Reception to follow.
