Artist Cristina Iglesias discusses her commissioned campus artwork, Below the Visible.
Cristina Iglesias, the Museum’s Sarah Lee Elson, Class of 1984, International Artist-in-Residence, discusses her new commission Below the Visible with Haskell Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art Alexandra Foradas. The artwork, installed outside Briger Hall, integrates sculpture and nature, reimagining the hidden geological layers beneath the earth’s surface. Transforming the traditional concept of the fountain, Iglesias’s installation creates a place for contemplation, conversation, and inspiration.
LATE THURSDAYS! The Museum’s Late Thursdays programming is made possible in part by Heather and Paul G. Haaga Jr., Class of 1970.
