Drawing Nature from the Collections | Pastels: Creating Perspective with Color

This live art-making class is inspired by Paul Cézanne’s Mont Sainte-Victoire (ca. 1904–6). In this session, we will create our own versions of this painting with a focus on creating perspective with color.

The Museum partners with the Arts Council of Princeton to provide free virtual drawing classes, taught by artist-instructor Barbara DiLorenzo. With an emphasis on drawing with pastel on paper, each week’s lesson in this series will be inspired by an artwork depicting nature in the Museum’s collections.

This series is part of Arts and Health Mercer, a monthlong collaboration between Mercer County arts and cultural organizations that celebrates the vital role art plays in our health and wellbeing.
