Twin-headed zoomorphic figure
1997-170
More Context
Didactics
This elegant, highly polished object carries double images of shrews, weasels, or mice with big ears, no face, and pointed snouts. Lack of an obvious means of attachment other than a thin short stem suggests that it may have been used as an amulet sewn inside clothing, or kept in a pouch or bag.
