Museum Docents
Founded in 1967 to provide educational experiences for the broader Princeton community, the Princeton University Art Museum Docent Association is an integral part of the Museum’s educational initiatives.
Docent Responsibilities
- Conduct tours for children and adults as well as give weekend Highlights Tours
- Attend weekly meetings, which provide continuing education and serve as a forum for dialogue
- Help run many of our family, K–12, and adult programs
All Museum Docents are required to have an active Museum membership status at any level. There are many benefits to being a part of our member family, such as invitations to special events, members-only communications, and reciprocal access to museums around the country.
Membership contributions provide critical funding for the Museum’s exhibitions, public programming, and educational initiatives, and your commitment to and support of the Museum is essential to your role as a Docent.
If becoming a member is a financial concern, a limited number of complimentary memberships are available!
