This drawing was published in "Acquisitions of the Princeton University Art Museum 2002," Record of the Princeton University Art Museum 62 (2003): p. 122 attributed to either Francisco Herrera the Younger (1627-1685) or Francisco Herrera the Elder (ca. 1590-1654). This sheet is similar to a drawing that was lost during the Spanish Civil War and is only known through a photograph taken prior to 1936, however according to Lisa A. Banner, "subtle differences in composition...point to a follower or pupil of Herrera the Younger."
