a. Front - Three pictorial registers above a a bottom inscription. Top register - has images of Prabhtaratna (Duobao 多 寶; Ancient Buddha) and Sakyamuni (Shejia 釋 迦) buddhas in the center flanked by two bodhisattvas. Second register from top - has a central image of the Dangyang 當 陽 buddha flanked by two bodhisattvas and the figures of Kasyapa (Jiayeh 迦 葉) at right and Ananda (A'nan 阿 難) at left. Third register from top – has a central lotus motif flanked by two donor figures, and two lions. Chen Shenjiang's dedication inscription engraved in a vertical column in this register. Bottom inscription – clerical-script calligraphy in 16 columns with 7 character-spaces a line. Dated 13th year of the Tatong era, 9th month, 8th day. b. Back - Three pictorial registers above a bottom inscription. Top register – has central figure of Maitreya flanked by Kasyapa at right and Ananda at left, and by two bodhisattvas. Second register from top – has four images of kanzhu 堪 主 . Third register from top – has six images of kanzhu 堪 主 . Bottom inscription – 18 columns, list of donors.
