This sheet was originally attributed to Raphael Ximeno y Planes (1759-1825), but it is more likely to be by Luis Antonio Planes. This drawing was found in a portfolio in Valencia, where Luis Antonio Planes spent his career, whereas Raphael Ximeno y Planes left most of his drawings in Mexico. The portfolio also included works by other artists in Luis Antonio Planes's circle at the Real Academia de San Carlos, which also date to the eighteenth century (as supported by watermarks).
