Description
Yue Fei 岳飛 (1103-1142), a military general, calligrapher, and poet during the Southern Song dynasty, is portrayed seated in a lacquer chair draped with a pelt. He hold a book in front with both hands and wears a robe adorned with large flower blossoms. Above the figure is a long inscription in seal-script calligraphy. In the top center are illustrated the bottom, top, and two sides of a seal bearing titles Yue Fei had achieved.
