Title: 莫愁小像 Portrait of Mochou

石城西畔楚江東，六代繁華過眼中。剩得英雄兒女事，湖光山色兩空漾。星移物换勝棋樓，無復當時舊冕旒。大抵名王輸一着，閒情都付古今愁。莫愁人去有餘芳，白水青蓮引興長，色即是空空即色，華嚴常住鬱金堂。玳梁重整燕巢新，回首烟波感昔人，此日春風留面目，千秋艷質免沉淪。
曾文正公平定[粵逆]之亂，復整葺金陵勝蹟，故莫愁湖勝棋樓次第落成，廣植花柳，延攬翰墨於此間，暮椿朝飞。新增一番色相。予於乙亥歲渡江南游，適金陵嗣因僑寓此湖，每見名公卿士以及墨客騷人，游覽興懷，琳琅滿壁，真令人有曾經溣海難為水之慨。惟舊有石刻莫愁小像闕[后]未補抑憾事也。愛以昔臨古本重經摹勒上石，更題四絕以志一時之遇而為鴻雪之缘耳。維光緒二年[1876]歲在丙子龍首閏月上澣，淮北朱柏容，海峰氏並跋於月到風來閣次。
