Round 4.2 cm. diam. Silver décor agaist red ground. Large silver medallion of Mao profile in upper half+;below to right = a set of 5 standing books with another lying open in front ; 1st book in stack has red 5-point star & 5 red indentations (? For titles?) series of flags in red ground below, above this & behind Mao = starburst patern. Center bottom – plaza with single gate building/wall (Tian’anmen?), squares delineated (looks like longitude & latitude) to left of plaza structure at front & rear corners = radio towers (broadcast waves in red background; border (.2 cm.) with contiunuous band of 5-pointed stars. Back: head-shaped indentation within a circle. Clasp = at forehead level. Below circular indentation, almost at edge, = 2-line inscription: “努力办好广播为全中国人民和全世界人民服务” ; “中央广播事业局(金+号?)”.
