Description
Hanging scroll with family of three monkeys in setting of sparse grasses. In lower right of painting is found the ‘signature’, “Sosen hitsu” (brushed by Sosen) over an ovoid seal split into upper and lower halves. The lower half of the seal appears to be a bug or elephant.
