On a stone stele at Xi'an I collate Han dynasty clerical script
b. 北海尊前誦 辭
In front of the statue of [Kong] Beihai I chant the Chu poems.
Notes on Text:
Beihai refers to Kong Rong (153-208), a renowned literatus and a 20th generation grandson of Confucius. He held an official post in Beihai, Shandong province, and was thus known as Kong Beihai.

Compiled from charcters from the Stone Gate cliff carving (Shimen song).
己卯年佛誕假日
On the Buddha's birthday (8th day of the 4th lunar month) in the year 1999
b. 樹輝書於聽雨山居
Written by Shuhui at A Rain-listening Dwelling on the Hill. [? Mountain Dwelling for Listening to the Rain?]
Note: In a letter dated 6/13/00, So writes "My apartment is located at Mid-levels on Hong Kong island. When it rains, I like very much listening to nature's drizzly rhythm or pouring orchestra. For this reason, I call my small studio 'A Rain-listening Dwelling on the Hill.'"
