Description
The Song dynasty poet, artist, and official Su Shi 蘇軾 is portrayed seated frontally on a rock. His left hand is raised to his beard and the right rests on his knee. Thick outlines are used to delineate his robe, and the pictorial stone from which this rubbing was taken was carved in a way that the figure’s face and hands appear white.
