Description
Zhang Wenxian is portrayed as bearded figure standing with lowered hands inside long sleeves and clasped together in front. He wears a headcloth (putou 幞頭) tied at the back, and the tips of his shoes can be seen under the hem of his robe. Yang Jun had the pictorial stone from which this rubbing was taken engraved in 1888 after an image attributed to Wu Daozi 吳道子 (680-ca. 760).
