The Wen River flows westward from east of Mount Dai. At Dawenkou the water hits the exposed stones with a wave-like force. I sent craftsmen into the mountain to make rubbings of the incised Northern Qi Buddhist sutras, the Buddha names inscribed on the Yingfo Yan Cliff, as well as [the inscriptions carved on the Pinle Yan Cliff and Yanyi Zhai Studio] composed by the [Northern] Qi magistrate of the Liangfu district Wang Zichun and calligraphed by Yuan Lusen {or "Lu Sen of the Yuan dynasty"}.
