Gifts of Art

Since the Museum’s founding in 1882, its globe-spanning collections, which comprise more than 117,000 works of art from ancient to contemporary, have been assembled largely through the generosity of donors—both alumni and friends. Many donors make a gift of art to enhance the Museum’s collections and to support its mission as a teaching and research institution for future generations to have transformative experiences with art.
