Prohibited Items and Activities
The following items and actions are prohibited in the Museum:
- Weapons of any kind, including but not limited to: firearms or ammunition; knives, scissors, and blades; and any items that could be considered dangerous to people or art
- Hazardous materials, including explosives and flammable liquids
- Illegal items or substances
- Bags or personal items larger than 14 x 18 x 6 in. are not permitted in the galleries
- Flowers, plants, and feathers
- Balloons
- Flashlights
- Large umbrellas (small umbrellas stored in personal bags are permitted)
- Bikes, scooters, skateboards, Heelys, hover boards, and wagons
- Rigid-framed baby carriers; soft, front-worn baby carriers are permitted in the galleries
- Mark making materials and adhesives, like paint, markers, charcoal, and glue; pencils and colored pencils are permitted.
- Artwork from personal collections cannot be brought into the Museum by visitors
- Pets, including assistance, or emotional support animals; service animals are permitted
- Video recording, flash photography, selfie sticks, tripods, monopods, portable speakers, amplifiers, and any professional video equipment
- Harassment and any other disruptive or threatening behavior
- Smoking, including e-cigarettes and vapes
- Operation of Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) or any other drones
- Soliciting for commercial or charitable purposes
- Distribution of any advertisements, pamphlets, or flyers
