Through his manipulation of the effects of light, movement, and multiple exposures, Michaels narrates metaphysical occurrences in a medium known for its ability to document the observable world. “I am a reflection photographing other reflections within a reflection,” he said, expressing his commitment to representing the evanescent aspects of existence.
