Description
Published by Kiyomizu Daigoro.
The album includes an opening scene of a woman and her attendants followed by 11 cartouched dance scenes including Dōjōji (Dōjōji Temple 道成寺), Shirozake uri (White sake seller 白酒売り), Katsuo uri (Bonito seller 鰹売り), Seki no to (関の扉), and Oharame (大原女), among others. It may be that this small album was meant as a cheat sheet for young girls learning to identify their characters in the dances in kabuki plays. Aniline dyes have been used in its production.
